British ColumBia / <strong>Yukon</strong> <strong>Command</strong>Moxley, Wilbur LeeWilbur was born in Victoria in 1925 and grew up in the Moose Heights areaof Quesnel, <strong>BC</strong>. He was nicknamed “Bunny” and was well-known for hisfiery red hair. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in April 1943 andbecame an air gunner, serving in Europe. In September 1944, Wilbur did notreturn from an operation over Darmstadt, Germany. His body was laterrecovered and buried in Leopoldsburg War Cemetery in Belgium.Mulrooney, Raymond John (Ray)Ray was born in Douglastown, Quebec in 1940. He served in the Navy onHMCS Bonaventure and HMCS Erie in Special Duty Areas. Ray is retiredand living in Okanagan Falls, <strong>BC</strong> where he has been a member of <strong>Legion</strong>Branch #227 for four years.Mummery (nee Keefe), Frances MarionMarion was born in 1920 in Southbank, Francois Lake, <strong>BC</strong>. She servedduring World War Two in the Royal Canadian Air Force, Women’s Divisionwith the rank of Corporal in Canada and in the RCAF Accounting Office inLondon, England. Marion has been a member of <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #43 inPrince George for seven years.www.legionbcyukon.ca209
