He enlisted in the Army onMay 14, 1942 in Timmins, Ontario, and served in Canada, Britain, andNorthwest Europe with the 3 rd Division, 12 th Field 43 rd Battery and the 4 thDivision Lincoln and Welland D Company. Wally was awarded the 1939-1945 Star, the France and Germany Medal, the Defence Medal, the 1939-145 War Medal, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp.Wally died in 2008.Galbraith, Donald Franklin (Don)Don was born in Sangudo, Alberta on August 6, 1921. He joined the Armyin Edmonton in January 1941 and was discharged in October 1945. Donserved as a Corporal with the 1 st Canadian Armoured Brigade in Canada, theUnited Kingdom, Sicily, Italy, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. He wasawarded the 1939-1945 Star, the Defence of Britain Medal, the War Medal1939-1945, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. After the War, Donworked for Ogilvie Flour Mills for forty years.
