British ColumBia / <strong>Yukon</strong> <strong>Command</strong>Simpson, John (Jack)Jack was born in Hazelcliff, Saskatchewan in 1917. He served in the RoyalCanadian Engineers in Canada and on the Alaska Highway during WorldWar Two. After the war, Jack worked on the railway for twenty-seven years.He has been a member of <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #227 in Okanagan Falls for tenyears.Simpson, Ronald Robert (Ron)Ron was born in Vegreville, Alberta in 1943. He joined the Navy on March19, 1963 and served as an OSBN on HMCS Ste. Thérèse. He entered theTechnical Apprenticeship Training Plan on July 19, 1964 and trained onHMCS Mackenzie. He later served on HMC <strong>Yukon</strong> as an LSHT3 until hisrelease on September 20, 1969. Ron was also stationed at HMCSCornwallis and HMCS Naden. He has been a member of <strong>Legion</strong> Branch#293 Alberni Valley for forty-eight years.Sinclair, DaveDave was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1937. He enlisted in the KoreanWar and served during peacetime with the Royal Canadian Navy from 1953to 1977. He served aboard HMCS Brockville, Comox, Stadacona,Sussexvale, Naden, St. Laurent, Beacon Hill, Margaree, Cape Breton,<strong>Yukon</strong>, and HMAS Melbourne in the Pacific and Atlantic. He was awardedthe Canadian Forces Decoration with Bar and the Queen’s Golden JubileeMedal. Dave has been a member of <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #7 Britannia for twentyfouryears and is a Life Member.www.legionbcyukon.ca251
