British ColumBia / <strong>Yukon</strong> <strong>Command</strong>Chenier, Clarence GeraldClarence Gerald was in Britain when World War Two was declared. Hesigned up with the Royal Air Force and served during the war. On a two-daypass, he went to London to see the sights. When he was in Piccadilly Circus,he was astonished to meet his father who was serving in the Army – talkabout a small world! Neither had planned the reunion, and what a reunion itwas. Clarence came back to British Columbia after the war and then enlistedin the Royal Canadian Air Force where he served until the early 1960s.Clark, GeorgeGeorge was born in Stony Point, Manitoba on February 27, 1936. Heenlisted in the Navy in August 1957 at HMCS Chippawa, Winnipeg andtook his basic training at HMCS Cornwallis, Nova Scotia. He served onHMCS Ste. Thérèse, HMCS Ontario, HMCS Fraser, HMCS Miramichi,HMCS Saskatchewan, and HMCS Provider. George was awarded theCanadian Forces Decoration. A happy go lucky sailor and a great shipmate,George died in 1977 and is still greatly missed by his family and friends.Clease, FrankFrank was born in Mayfair, Saskatchewan. He served in the Royal CanadianEngineers in Canada, England, and in Continental Europe during World WarTwo. He was awarded the 1939-1945 Star and the France and Germany Star.Frank was a member of <strong>Legion</strong> Branch #57 in Mission, <strong>BC</strong> for sixty-threeyears.
