British ColumBia / Yukon CommandWardell, Kenneth H.Ken was born in Peace River, Alberta in July 1933. He was educated inPortreeve, Saskatchewan. He joined the Navy on HMCS Discovery in April1953, took his new entry training at Cornwallis and basic seamanshiptraining at HMCS Ontario. In 1954, he was transferred into the TAS Branchwhere he remained until 1961 when he transferred into the ElectronicBranch. He served on HMCS Cornwallis, Ontario, Naden, Crusader,Sussexvale, Crescent, Athabaskan, Saguenay, Discovery, Stadacona, Fraser,Shearwater, St Croix, Columbia, Cape Breton (FMG), Kootenay, andMaritime Forces Pacific (Mar-Pac) Staff. Ken was awarded the CanadianForces Decoration with 2 clasps. After his discharge in 1978, he spentthirteen years as an electronic technologist. Ken has been a member ofLegion Branch #172 in Esquimalt for more than forty years.Warnock, DianaDiana was born on August 3, 1940 in Wood Mountain, Saskatchewan. Sheenlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in Edmonton in June 1958 andtook basic training in St. Jean, Quebec, followed by advanced and tradestraining as a flight control operator in Clinton, Ontario. She was then postedto Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia where she married and received her dischargein 1961. Diana has been a member of Legion Branch #167 in Lumby, BCfor twenty years.Watkinson, RichardRichard was born in Central Butte, Saskatchewan in 1919. He served withthe Royal Canadian Engineers in England, France, Belgium, Holland, andGermany during World War Two. Richard was a member of Legion Branch#14 in Rossland, BC for sixty-five years.
