ABOUT THE CONFERENCERegistration Desk Opening HoursDelegates should register in the South Wing, Level +1,MiCo.Saturday 30 August 0745 - 1730Sunday 31 August 0745 - 2100Monday 1 September 0715 - 1745Tuesday 2 September 0745 - 1745Wednesday3 September 0800 - 1300Onsite Payments: Delegates who have madearrangements to pay their registration fees onsite shouldregister at the onsite registration desk in the South Wing,Level +1, MiCo and pay by credit card (Visa/Mastercardonly) or cash (Euros, UK Pounds Sterling & US Dollarsonly). The current exchange rate will be applied.Conference notice board and messages: Please checkthe boards in the registration area for updates and anypersonal messages. Between 27 August and 3 Septembermessages for the AMEE Secretariat may be sent toamee@dundee.ac.uk and messages for Worldspan Groupmay be sent to amee@worldspan.co.uk.Internet Café: PCs for internet access are available in theAMEE 2014 registration area, South Wing, Level +1, MiCofrom Monday 1 to Wednesday 3 September.WIFI: Free wireless access is available throughoutMiCo. The username and password to access the wifi isamee2014.Audio Visual arrangements: A computer with speakersand a data projector will be provided in all presentationrooms for plenaries, symposia, short communications,research papers, PhD reports, Fringe presentations andconference workshops. No additional audiovisual aidsare provided for mounted poster presentations (exceptfor ePosters – see page 11). It is not possible to useyour own computer for short communications, researchpapers, PhD and Fringe sessions to avoid any delay duringchangeover. Pre-conference and conference workshopfacilitators and symposium organisers may use their owncomputers if they wish, but should advise the AMEEOffice (amee@dundee.ac.uk) in advance. Please notethat only wifi internet connection is available, unlessotherwise requested in advance of the conference.Speaker Preview: Presenters of short communications,research papers, PhD reports and Fringe, as well assymposia and conference workshop facilitators whoare not using their own computers, should take theirpresentations on USB device to the technicians in theSpeaker Preview Room located on the balcony of Level+1, MiCo, near to the registration desk, for preloading tothe computer in the presentation room.If possible this should be done the day before thepresentation, or a minimum of 2 hours before the start ofthe session. Name the file as follows: Session code and yourfamily name, for example – 2C6 Smith. The Speaker Previewroom is open at the following times:Sunday 1430 - 1800Monday 0715 - 1745Tuesday 0745 - 1745Wednesday 0745 - 1200CME Accreditation: The Royal College of Physicians ofLondon has awarded 19 points for attendance at the mainAMEE 2014 Conference (1730 hrs Sun 31 August to 1230 hrsWed 3 September 2014). A register of attendance will beavailable at the AMEE registration desk at morning coffeebreak on Wednesday 3 September for those who wish toclaim their CME points.The EACCME: European Accreditation Council forContinuing Medical Education has awarded 16 EuropeanCME credits (ECMEC) for attendance at the main AMEE2014 Conference (1730 hrs Sun 31 August to 1230 hrsWed 3 September 2014). A register of attendance will beavailable at the AMEE registration desk at morning coffeebreak on Wednesday 3 September for those who wish toclaim their EACCME points. EACCME approved credits forlive activities are also recognized by the American MedicalAssociation for conversion to AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM(see www.eits.fr/accreditations/EACCME_2011.pdf)Certificates of Attendance: Certificates of attendance,indicating both the RCP and EACCME Credits will be emailedto paid participants, from Worldspan, after the Conference.Certificate of Attendance at a Pre-conferenceWorkshop: Certificates of attendance will be emailed topaid participants, from Worldspan, after the Conference.Certificate of Presentation: If you require a presentationcertificate, please complete a certificate request form,available from the AMEE Information Desk, or email yourrequest to amee@dundee.ac.uk. Please allow a minimumof 4-6 weeks for processing. Certificates will be issuedelectronically in PDF format unless otherwise requested.Conference Evaluation: An online evaluation form will beavailable for completion immediately after the Conference.Pre-conference and conference workshops will beevaluated separately. Facilitators will hand out evaluationforms which should be completed and returned to thestudent helper assigned to the workshop or handed inat the AMEE Information Desk. Alternatively they can befaxed/mailed back to the AMEE Office after the Conference.You will also have the opportunity to rate individual sessionsusing the AMEE Conference App.– 8 –
