rübensirups „Grafschafter Goldsaft“ und weiterer süßer
Brotaufstriche. Dazu gehört die rheinische Spezialität
Apfelkraut. Für die Lebensmittel herstellende Industrie
bietet Grafschafter Flüssigzucker-Produkte nach indivi -
dueller Rezeptur an.
For more than 120 years, the Meckenheim-based company
has been dedicated to manufacturing the popular
“Grafschafter Goldsaft” sugar beet molasses and other
sweet spreads. This also includes the Rhenish apple syrup
speciality. For the food producing industry, Grafschafter
offers liquid sugar products in the form of individualised
recipes.

Die Stadt Bornheim ist auch aufgrund ihrer Lage am Rhein
zwischen Köln und Bonn durch ein kontinuierliches Wirtschafts-
und Bevölkerungswachstum gekennzeichnet.
Die günstigen infrastrukturellen Bedingungen haben in
den letzten 20 Jahren zur Ansiedlung von rund 150 Betrieben
verschiedenster Branchen in den neu erschlossenen
Gewerbegebieten Bornheim-Süd/Alfter-Nord, Kardorf und
Sechtem geführt, was mit der Schaffung von circa 2500
neuen Arbeitsplätzen verbunden war. Erweiterungen sind
in Planung.

is characterised by continuous population growth. The
beneficial infrastructural conditions have resulted in about
150 companies settling here in the past 20 years. They
represent a variety of different industries and are found
in the newly developed industrial estates of Bornheim-
Süd/Alfter-Nord, Kardorf and Sechtem, which was asso -
ciated with the creation of about 2,500 new jobs. Expan -
sions are being planned.
