ICT sector as a growth driver
Big Data, Cloud Computing, the Internet of Things – in the
German economy, digitalisation is leading to fundamental
changes in the market conditions. In more than every
second company, the business model is changing as a
result – this is the outcome of a BICTOM study. Digital transformation
is penetrating all divisions of a company, from
product development to distribution and right up to
customer service. Due to this, increasing numbers of
medium-sized enterprises are purchasing IT services. “Digitalisation
is now entering entirely new divisions. In so doing,
the topic of IT security will also become more important.
With the systems’ increasing complexity, existing security
mechanisms have to be adapted and new divisions are to
be integrated. Furthermore, wireless transmission routes, as
linking technology in the environment of Industry 4.0,
remains an important future market. In comparison with
fixed cabling, WiFi allows considerably more flexibility with
data transmission between machines and, as such, is a
decisive building block for the Industry 4.0 plans“, says Enrico
Bujotzek, managing director of EnBITCon. As an IT systemhouse,
the Bonn-based company has specialised in the
customised compilation of the IT infrastructure – a highly
competitive market in Bonn/Rhein-Sieg, which, despite this
very fact, still remains a market with perspective.
