Stockyard cranes have to work hard. The tonnage per job has to be handled twice<br />

in the same period of time, often with many fewer cranes. It is therefore important<br />

that cranes be selected and cited carefully to ensure maximum efficiency.<br />

33.8.3 Other solutions<br />

If there is no suitable crane, or if there is no working place around or inside the<br />

building where a crane may be placed, then consideration must be given to a special<br />

mounting device for a standard crane, or even a special lifting device to do the work<br />

of a crane, designed to be supported on the growing structure under construction.<br />
