Doctor of Philosophy: The college offers an interdisciplinary
doctoral program in design, construction, and planning. Areas of
specialization in the program include architecture, building
construction, interior design, landscape architecture, and urban and
regional planning. Within the area of building construction,
specialization options include sustainable construction, information
systems, construction safety, affordable housing, productivity, and
human resource management. These specializations prepare
students to assume college-level faculty positions and industry
research positions in construction management and the building

The M.E. Rinker Sr. School offers courses leading to the degrees of
Master of Science in Building Construction (thesis), Master of
Building Construction (nonthesis), and Master of International
Construction Management (nonthesis distance education program
for experienced professionals). An individual plan of study is
prepared for each student to insure that the student's goals are
achieved within the broad policy guidelines of the Rinker School.
