ENV 5306: Municipal Refuse Disposal (3) Quantities and<br />

characteristics of municipal refuse and hazardous materials.<br />

Collection methods, transfer stations, equipment and costs. Refuse<br />

disposal practices, regional planning and equipment.<br />

ENV 5518: Field Methods in Environmental Hydrology (3)<br />

Prereq: CWR 5125 or equivalent. Field methods for characterizing<br />

Mathematical analysis of the effects of conservative and<br />

nonconservative pollutant loadings to lakes and rivers. Detailed<br />

study of dissolved oxygen mass balance modeling and<br />

eutrophication.<br />

ENV 6052: Immiscible Fluids in Porous Media (3) Prereq:<br />

consent of instructor. Mechanics of immiscible fluids in porous<br />

media. Static fluid distributions, and steady and unsteady<br />

multiphase flow. Remediation of sites contaminated with<br />

nonaqueous phase liquids.<br />

ENV 6116: Air Pollution Sampling and Analysis (3) Prereq: ENV<br />

4101 or consent of instructor. Determining the concentration of<br />

normally encountered ambient pollutants. Practical experience in<br />

ambient air and indoor sampling.<br />
