NEM 6102C: Nematode Taxonomy and Systematics (3) Prereq:<br />

NEM 6101C. Collection, preparation, and identification of plant and<br />

soil nematodes; review of pertinent literature; drawing techniques<br />

and preparation of keys.<br />

NEM 6103: Insect Parasitic Nematodes(1) Insect-parasitic<br />

nematodes in all taxons, including their pathogenicity, life cycles,<br />

etc. Steinernematidae and Heterohibditidae emphasized.<br />

NEM 6104L: Insect Parasitic Nematodes Laboratory(1) Coreq:<br />

NEM 6103. Field survey and pathogenicity experiments, survival<br />

mechanisms determined, selected nematodes produced in vivo, and<br />

DNA extracted and sequenced.<br />
