and empirical work in leadership theory. Various theories including<br />

Ohio State studies, trait theory, LPC theory, path-goal theory,<br />

substitutes for leadership, and transformational/charismatic<br />

instructor. Method and study of human behavior in organizational<br />

contexts. Organizational structure and environment.<br />

MAN 7207: Seminar on Foundations of Organizational Theory<br />

(1-3) Classical models of organizations as coordination and control<br />

mechanisms. Organizational boundaries, political processes, and<br />

contingency theory.<br />

MAN 7208: Seminar in Contemporary Approaches to<br />

Organizations (1-3) Recent organizational views such as<br />

population ecology, economic approaches to organizational design<br />

and control, organizations and technology, and network firms.<br />

Emerging research on groups and teams in organizations. Classic<br />

and contemporary theories and research on team composition and<br />
