Design, analysis, and implementation of algorithms and date
structures to solve geometric problems. Applications in graphics,
robotics, computational biology, data mining, and scientific
computing. Convex hulls, Voronoi diagrams, triangulations,
arrangements, and range searching.
COT 6315: Formal Languages and Computation Theory (3)
Prereq: COP 3530 and familiarity with discrete mathematics and
data structures. Introduction to theoretical computer science
including formal languages, automata theory, Turing machines, and
computability.
