Design, analysis, and implementation of algorithms and date<br />

structures to solve geometric problems. Applications in graphics,<br />

robotics, computational biology, data mining, and scientific<br />

computing. Convex hulls, Voronoi diagrams, triangulations,<br />

arrangements, and range searching.<br />

COT 6315: Formal Languages and Computation Theory (3)<br />

Prereq: COP 3530 and familiarity with discrete mathematics and<br />

data structures. Introduction to theoretical computer science<br />

including formal languages, automata theory, Turing machines, and<br />

computability.<br />
