Doctor of Philosophy: The College offers an interdisciplinary
program leading to the Doctor of Philosophy degree in design,
construction, and planning. Areas of specialization within this
program include architecture, building construction, interior design,
landscape architecture, and urban and regional planning. For

Master of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning: The Department
of Urban and Regional Planning offers graduate work leading to the
degree of Master of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning
(M.A.U.R.P.). Students are encouraged to enter the program in the
fall semester. The program is usually completed in two academic
years. The student entering with an undergraduate degree and no
graduate study must complete 52 hours of credit for the M.A.U.R.P.
degree. Students who have a master's degree in a related field may
transfer up to 18 graduate semester hours toward the 52 hour
requirement. Such a transfer of credit requires the approval of the
Department. The Department encourages students with any
undergraduate degree who are interested in the field of planning to
apply for admission.
