The following courses are offered under the supervision of the office<br />

of the dean by an interdisciplinary faculty and deal with specialized<br />

topics or material involving two or more health professions areas.<br />

These courses are also open to students of other colleges, with the<br />

permission of the course instructor.<br />

HSC 5938: Special Topics (1-6; max: 12)<br />

HSC 6905: Independent Study (1-3; max: 12)<br />

HSC 6939: Special Topics (1-5; max: 10) S/U option.<br />

HSC 6940: Supervised Teaching (1-5; max: 5) S/U.<br />

PHC 6403: Adolescence, Risk Taking and Health(3) Introduction<br />

to primary determinants and outcomes associated with adolescent<br />

risk behaviors. Emphasis on substance use, sexual behaviors,<br />

injury, violence and the interactive nature of risk taking behaviors.<br />
