to students who have taken 6940. Independent student teaching<br />

under the supervision of a faculty member. S/U.<br />

DCP 7949: Professional Internship (1-5; max: 5) Professional<br />

faculty-supervised practicum.<br />

DCP 7979: Advanced Research(1-12) Research for doctoral<br />

students before admission to candidacy. Designed for students with<br />

a master's degree in the field of study or for students who have<br />

been accepted for a doctoral program. Not appropriate for students<br />

LAA 5366: Principles of Landscape Architecture (5) Explores<br />

the range of introductory landscape architectural issues. Site design<br />

incorporating a mixture of cultural, environmental, and historic<br />

topics.<br />

LAA 6231: Landscape Architecture Theory (3) Prereq: consent<br />

of instructor. Coreq: LAA 6656C. Explores theories pertinent to the<br />

practice and study of landscape architecture. Aesthetic and cultural<br />

principles and values and related ecological aspects. Designated core<br />

LAA 6322: Project Management for Landscape Architects (3)<br />

Two-part exploration of current methods, theories, and approaches<br />

to critiquing and evaluating built and proposed environments and<br />

their users. Designated core course.<br />

LAA 6342: Landscape Architecture Criticism (3) Case studies<br />

and readings of theories, models, and processes applicable to<br />

landscape architectural planning and design. Emphasizes the issues<br />

of perception, preference, and other user concerns. Designated core<br />

course.<br />

LAA 6382: Ecological and Environmental Policy (3) Survey of<br />

major environmental policy and law with particular reference to<br />

Florida case studies. Designated core course.<br />

LAA 6525L: Advanced Landscape Construction Design (4)<br />

Development of current communication and production techniques<br />

related to professional landscape architectural construction<br />
