PROGNOSIS
Long-term prognosis is poor due to the invasiveness of the tumors and
the advanced stage at the time of diagnosis. Benign tumors that are resectable
carry a good prognosis and may be cured with resection. Survival may
be prolonged with chemotherapy and control of secondary complications
such as inflammation, urinary tract infections, urolithiasis, and urine outflow
obstruction.
