INTERVENÇÕES DO PRESIDENTE LUIZ INÁCIO LULA DA SILVA
more depth so that when we arrive in Venezuela we are ready to make a
decision and vote. I believe it is extremely important that we pare down the
number of issues in order that we are able to decide, discuss, and deliberate
on issues.
Well, first I would like to end by saying that a luncheon will be offered
shortly, after which ten bilateral meetings will held. Everyone will sit down to
talks. Indeed, this is one of the strong points of these international summits,
the bilateral meetings we organize. First, I would like to thank all of the
delegations from the bottom of my heart for recognizing the historic significance
of this meeting. We have heard accounts of national settings that illustrate, at
the outset, our diversity, but what has become increasingly clear to us is the
growing awareness that we need to permanently consolidate, I would say
from a legal standpoint, even, and from an economic standpoint, a more
