Background:
NECAPRI was reopened in October 2012; in 2013 it
held the first Cycle of Lectures on Goats; in 2014 it
organized the second Cycle of Lectures on Goats and,
in 2015, offered the course on Professional Training for
Rational Goat Breeding.
Overall Objectives:
To introduce undergraduate and graduate students
to goat breeding through lectures, technical visits
and activities developed in the sector. A further aim
is extension activities, always aiming at strengthening
ties with the local community and preparing students
for the work market through lectures prepared by
the actual students and mini-courses related to the
academic and post-academic development of its
members.
Areas of Expertise:
1. Goat Breeding: Food, sanitary, reproductive and
general management; facilities and market.
2. Extension: Professional training provided to
undergraduate and graduate students and the
community; donation campaigns for the local
community.
3. Research: Studies related to goat milk and its
composition.
