Background:
Preserva Jr. was founded by undergraduate students in
Environmental and Sanitary Engineering on December
19, 2012. The junior enterprise is located at the Federal
University of Lavras and develops consulting services
and projects aiming the community as a whole, including
private companies and local administrations. In early 2013,
with the company already structured and executing its first
project, the first selection process was held. In addition to
environmental and sanitary projects, the company has been
prominent in organizing academic events and participating
in social campaigns. In this way, it has achieved remarkable
growth in the market and academic environment. This fact
was proved in 2016, when it became member of the Federation
of Junior Enterprises of Minas Gerais, which is the biggest in
the world. Preserva Jr. is continuously seeking to establish
partnerships and contact with other junior enterprises,
aiming to share information and consolidate its growth.
Overall Objectives:
To operate in the most diverse sectors of the environment,
focusing on its maintenance and preservation; to provide
practical learning for its members; the services aim to help
municipal administrations and companies to comply with
the current environmental legislation, providing better
quality of life for the population.
Areas of Expertise:
1. Licensing: Environmental Authorization for Operation
(AFF). Concession for water use.
2. Waste Management: Management plan and municipal
plan for integrated management of solid waste. Management
plan for industrial, health-care and building waste.
3. Hygiene: Sizing of composting units, building hydraulic
structures, sewage and effluent treatment plants and dams.
4. Environmental Education and Management:
Environmental education projects and training; rainwater
harvesting projects.
