Background:

UFLA Júnior Business Consulting, the business

administration junior enterprise of the Federal University

of Lavras, has operated in the market of Lavras and

surrounding region since 2000, providing consulting

services in a wide range of areas. It is exclusively composed

of undergraduate students in business administration from

the university, which brings it into constant contact with

traditional administrative theories as well as innovations

in the area, thus guaranteeing a dynamic and enterprising

environment for the development of new talents. UFLA

Júnior is part of the Junior Enterprise Movement ( JEM),

whose main objective is to complement the academic

training of its participants, providing practical experience.

Emerging in France in 1967, by the 80s the French model

was established and began to spread internationally,

arriving in Brazil, which has the largest number of junior

enterprises of the movement. The company is a member of

the Federation of Junior Enterprises of the State of Minas

Gerais (FEJEMG), whose purpose is to strengthen the

network that connects young people from all over the state

of Minas Gerais who undertake or wish to undertake.

Overall Objectives:

To develop members professionally through business

experience, performing projects and services in the field

of agricultural engineering; to foster the personal and

professional growth of students and arouse their interest

in entrepreneurship.

Areas of Expertise:

1. Maintenance of Agricultural Systems: Preventive and

corrective maintenance of heavy vehicles, machinery and

mechanized agricultural systems.

2. Irrigation and Drainage: Correct drainage of excess soil

water.

3. Building and Setting: Adaptation to the setting aims to

increase the efficiency of production, whether agricultural

or urban, providing less effort in human and animal

activities.

4. Storage and Processing: Methods for the storage and

processing of agricultural products, preserving their

chemical and nutritional qualities, adapting to the correct

sizing of facilities.
