Background:
The center was founded on February 5, 2013, when
Professor Raphael Winckler de Bettio got together with
a group of students with the goal of creating a study
group to develop games for the Android platform. As
most students also took part in the extension project
Electronic Sports University League (E-Sports) and
met at the Game Design Laboratory (GDL), both
coordinated by Professor Ana Paula Piovesan Melchiori,
the center took over their coordination in November
2014. The team then worked to create its first Android
game prototype, finalized in September 2015 with the
launch in Play Store of the first version of the game Zero.
Overall Objectives:
To enable the development of digital games through
the study of game development technologies, creating
collaborative and integrated work methodologies,
applying knowledge acquired in practical problems and
those raised by the students, besides preparing them for
the work market.

1. Programming: Game development requires
knowledge in programming for Android.
