Background:
In August 2013, three students met to found a junior
enterprise linked to the Law Course of the Federal
University of Lavras. They intended to develop a project
capable of fostering critical knowledge and praxis and
establishing points of contact between the professional
market and the academy. From this perspective, under the
guidance of professors Fernanda Gomes and Souza Borges,
within an environment wholly committed to students’
professional training, the legal consultancy Jurídica Júnior
was founded. Based on the results of its foundation, the
need to maintain this project was increasingly felt. After
all, it was imperative that the theory learnt in traditional
classrooms should be tested in the actual university
environment. Having a clearly defined mission statement,
Jurídica Júnior is gradually growing. And such growth,
already verified, is linked to the dedication of its members,
who currently add up to sixteen people. Today, the junior
enterprise of the Law Course of the Federal University of
Lavras constantly seeks its space in the market, aiming to
combine theory and practice, while giving its members the
perspective of an entrepreneurial reality and the recipients
of its services the satisfaction resulting from work carried
out with ethics, commitment and professionalism.
