researchers, professors, students and other parties
interested in the study of dairy products, with the
purpose of organizing events, debates, research and
extension activities for the acquisition and better
use of knowledge generated in this area. Created in
2006, the Center for Studies in Dairy Products was
the pioneering entity of the Department of Food

centers. Today, with nine years of tradition, NEL enjoys
the participation of undergraduate and graduate
students of food engineering, animal science and
veterinary medicine.
