Background:
NESA - Center for Studies in Agricultural Systems - was
created in August 2008 by undergraduate students
and professors from the Engineering Department
of the Federal University of Lavras with the main
objective of fostering the complementary training of
agricultural engineering students.
Overall Objectives:
To afford an increase of knowledge to all members
of the center, as well as to all interested members
of the academic community. To this end, the
Núcleo de Estudos
center develops several activities such as courses,
symposiums, seminars, technical reunions, lectures,
debates and other events that can contribute to
enhance knowledge.
Areas of Expertise:
1. Agricultural Mechanization: Main focus of the
center’s studies, addressing the whole complexity of
agricultural machinery and implements, as well as of
mechanization.
2. Portable Machines: Another focus of the center due
to the significant knowledge of the area coordinator,
who has actually given lectures on the subject.
3. Tractors and Engines: Closely linked to the previous
themes, this has become a subject of research and
events at the center.
4. Construction and Setting: Due to the significant
knowledge of one of our members in this area, who
has greatly contributed to bring together all center
members with lectures.
