This report summarizes the findings of the 2009-10 Timor-Leste Demographic and Health Survey (TLDHS) carried out by the National Statistics Directorate of the Ministry of Finance. ICF Macro provided financial and technical assistance for the survey through the USAID-funded MEASURE DHS program, which is designed to assist developing countries to collect data on fertility, family planning, and maternal and child health. Financial support was provided by USAID, the Government of Australia (AusAID), the Government of Ireland (Irish AID), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Development Fund (UNDP), and the World Health Organization (WHO). UNFPA supported the survey with administrative, logistical, and technical assistance.
