904.07 Each full-time hourly professional employee shall be<br />
employed under a limited contract whose duration is at<br />
least equal to one (1) school year. Subject to the provisions<br />
of Article 401 and Section 704.03 of this<br />
<strong>Agreement</strong>, any such contract shall be deemed renewed<br />
for a like term at the negotiated salary unless, on or<br />
before a date that is ninety (90) calendar days before the<br />
ending date of such contract, the <strong>Board</strong> gives the fulltime<br />
hourly professional employee employed thereunder<br />
written notice of its intention not to renew same.<br />
904.08 Afull-time hourly professional employee who is or<br />
becomes eligible for a continuing contract (as established<br />
by state law) shall be offered the next regular contract<br />
teaching vacancy (for which the teacher is certificated)<br />
after the teacher has provided the necessary documentation<br />
to the Human Resources establishing such eligibility.<br />
If the teacher accepts the vacancy, he/she shall<br />
be granted a continuing contract. Rejection of the<br />
offered vacancy by the teacher shall permanently terminate<br />
the <strong>Board</strong>’s obligation under this section to that<br />
teacher. A full-time hourly professional employee who is<br />
or becomes licensed in a compulsory school age area may<br />
apply for a transfer to such compulsory school age area<br />
in keeping with provisions of this <strong>Agreement</strong>. If such<br />
transfer is allowed, such employee shall no longer be a<br />
full-time hourly employee.<br />
Article 905<br />
Pay for Extra Duties<br />
905.01 During the term of this <strong>Agreement</strong>, teachers performing<br />
the following extra duty assignments shall be<br />
paid in accordance with the following schedule:<br />
(Payment shall be made in a single payment as soon as<br />
practicable following the completion of the performance<br />
of the extra duty. Payments shall be made on the sixth,<br />
thirteenth, fifteenth and twenty-first pay dates. Payment<br />
throughout each school year shall be determined on the<br />
basis of the BA minimum salary in effect on September<br />
1ofeach school year.)<br />
A. After four (4) complete years of continuous service in<br />
an extra duty position, a teacher continuing in an<br />
extra duty position will be paid in accordance with<br />
Step 2 so long as service is continuous. Continuous<br />
service shall not be transferable between Group A and<br />
Group B.Teachers providing service under two (2) or<br />
more supplemental contracts mustprovide continuous<br />
service under two (2) or more supplemental contracts<br />
in order to be eligible for Step 2 under the additional<br />
contract(s).<br />
B. The Superintendent and the President of the<br />
Association each shall appoint three (3) persons to a<br />
