and student mobility. The joint committee will also recommend<br />

how gainsharing can be extended to teacherson-special<br />

assignment. Guidelines for allocation as per<br />

the committee consensus shall be implemented.<br />

908.03 Specific details regarding the annual 908.02 goals to<br />

be attained in a given building, and the distribution/use<br />

of gainsharing funds attained through the reaching of<br />

such goals, shall be determined by consensus in each<br />

building by the administration and the ABC. Such issues<br />

with respect to teachers not assigned to a building shall<br />

be determined by the Joint Gainsharing Committee<br />

under Section 908.02 above. The Joint Gainsharing<br />

Committee shall determine which schools/teachers will<br />

receive gainsharing payments by October 15. Gainsharing<br />

funds shall be available for distribution by November<br />

15 based on success in meeting goals in the prior school<br />

year. Allocation of gainsharing funds shall be determined<br />

by the administrator and ABC by consensus, whose<br />

determination of goals and subsequent distribution of<br />

funds will thereafter repeat annually as per the preceding<br />

stated dates.<br />

Article 909<br />

National <strong>Board</strong> Certification Stipends<br />

909.01 The <strong>Board</strong> shall pay a stipend, beyond any stipend<br />

provided by the <strong>State</strong> of Ohio, in the amount of $1,500<br />

annually during thetermofthis<strong>Agreement</strong>,beginning<br />

with school year 2000–2001, to teachers who obtain<br />

National <strong>Board</strong> Certification before the beginning of a<br />

school year. Such NBPTS teachers shall each have the<br />

responsibility to provide two (2) staff development presentations<br />

during each school year as determined by the<br />

Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC) in<br />

concurrence with the Superintendent or designee. The<br />

LPDC and Administration shall coordinate the delivery<br />

of such presentations with the scheduling needs of the<br />

teacher and the district.<br />

909.02 Ateacher who completes the school year in compliance<br />

with Section 909.01 above shall be paid the appropriate<br />

lump sum stipend(s) on the twenty-first pay date.<br />

Article 910<br />

Performance Advancement System<br />

910.01 There shall be a Performance Advancement System<br />

(PAS) for individual teachers or groups of teachers who<br />

volunteer, based onstudentachievement and demonstrated<br />

accountability for student progress. Beginning in<br />

thefallof<strong>2005</strong>, qualifying teachers, including each<br />

teacher in a group, shall receive $2,500 annually based<br />

on achievement results during the previous school year,<br />

subject to Section 908.02.<br />

910.02 TheSuperintendent and Association President each<br />
