The staffing levels will be determined by the Reform Panel.<br />

Discipline Task Force Recommendations<br />

Thestudent discipline recommendations arising from the<br />

current Blue Ribbon Discipline Task Force and the Task<br />

ForceonDiscipline Intervention Strategies will be referred<br />

to the Reform Panel for review and possible implementation.<br />

Teacher Interns<br />

In the event a teaching intern program at a local university<br />

materializes and subject to passage of an operating levy, representatives<br />

of the parties will establish the hours, salaries<br />

and other terms and conditions of employment for Teacher<br />

Interns. The Reform Panel will oversee the implementation<br />

of the Teacher Intern program. It is agreed that Teacher<br />

Interns will be considered a CEA bargaining unit position.<br />

This Memorandum of <strong>Agreement</strong> entered into in connection<br />

with the settlement of a complete <strong>Agreement</strong> between<br />

the Columbus Education Association and the Columbus<br />

<strong>Board</strong> of Education effective June 26, 1989.<br />

Memorandum of <strong>Agreement</strong><br />

All rates of pay established by the <strong>Board</strong>/CEA <strong>Agreement</strong><br />

originally scheduled to expire August 27, 1989 which are in<br />

effect on the date of this memorandum shall continue in<br />

effect until modified by the <strong>Board</strong>/CEA <strong>Agreement</strong> which<br />

goes into effect on June 26, 1989.<br />

Memorandum of <strong>Agreement</strong><br />

The adult education program in the Columbus City<br />

Schools is currently under review. In the event adult programs<br />

at North High School are phased out or relocated in<br />

other schools, the following stipulations shall control:<br />

A. In the event of the intact relocation of a full-time adult<br />

program, the teacher shall have the right to relocate with<br />

the program.<br />

B. In the event a current full-time adult program is relocated<br />

and will include both adult and compulsory age students,<br />

the current full-time hourly teacher shall have first<br />

righttothe teaching position if there is a vacancy.<br />

C. Full-time hourly teachers who are relocated and assigned<br />

to teach classes of compulsory age studentsshall be given<br />

aregular teaching contract.<br />

D. Full-time hourly teachers who are relocated and assigned<br />

to teach classes of adult students or classesincluding both<br />

adult and compulsory age students will be given a regular<br />

teaching contract if it is a school year program and will<br />

be given a full-time hourly contract if itisacalendar year<br />

program. In either case, the class load will be similar to<br />

what existed in the North High School adult program<br />

rather than the conventional high school or career center<br />
