Plan as defined in Article 813 of the June 3, 1992,<br />

CEA/<strong>Board</strong> <strong>Agreement</strong> to other allowable flexible<br />

spending accounts in accordance with Internal Revenue<br />

Code Section 125. In the event a third party administrator<br />

is required to administer an expanded Cafeteria<br />

Premium Payment Plan, suchthirdpartyshall be mutually<br />

selected.<br />

Payroll Deductions for Tutors<br />

In theevent thereare insufficient funds in a tutor’s paycheck<br />

for the full monthly premium for medical and/or<br />

dental insurance as provided in Section 1008.01 of the<br />

<strong>Board</strong>/ CEA <strong>Agreement</strong> of June 3, 1992, it shall be the<br />

tutor’s responsibility to submit the required amount to the<br />

<strong>Board</strong>’s Treasurer by the first of each month of coverage.<br />

This Memorandum of <strong>Agreement</strong> entered into in connection<br />

with the settlement of a complete <strong>Agreement</strong> between<br />

the Columbus Education Association and the Columbus<br />

<strong>Board</strong> of Education effective June 27, 1992.<br />

Memorandum of <strong>Agreement</strong><br />

This Memorandum of <strong>Agreement</strong> is entered into in connection<br />

with the settlement of a complete <strong>Agreement</strong> between<br />

the Columbus Education Association and the Columbus<br />

<strong>Board</strong> of Education effective June 27, 1994.<br />

Innovative Programs<br />

The parties reaffirm their support for innovative programs<br />

developed cooperatively by individual school<br />

staffs. The Reform Panel will continue to assist schools in<br />

removing barriers to school reform through careful consideration<br />

of variances from state law, board policy, contract<br />

provisions, and administrative practice.<br />

Teacher Inservice<br />

AjointCEA/<strong>Board</strong> committee will be formed to examineteacher<br />

inservice needs and recommend strategies to<br />

meet those needs. This examination will include a review<br />

of the effectiveness of inservice opportunities currently<br />

provided through early release, substitute teacher coverage,<br />

and voluntary paid and unpaid evening and summer<br />

programs. Recommended strategies may include the<br />

addition of one or more teacher inservice days to the<br />

school calendar and inservices outside the teacher workday<br />

that teachers are required to attend.<br />

Notification of Eligibility of Continuing Contract<br />

The current Notification of Eligibility for Continuing<br />

Contract form will be modified to reflect a March 1<br />

application deadline.<br />

Adjustment to Comprehensive Major Medical Insurance<br />

Program<br />

The <strong>Board</strong> will adjust the Comprehensive Major Medical<br />
