A. Thenumberofhours indicated in parentheses after<br />
certain positions above represent hours worked in the<br />
supplemental position either prior to the opening of<br />
the school year, during the winter recess, during the<br />
spring recess or after the close of the school year.<br />
Included in the indexed rates of pay above is the supplemental<br />
hourly rate for such hours of service.<br />
Failure to perform such hours of service shall result in<br />
acorresponding reduction in pay for the supplemental<br />
service.<br />
B. An instrumental music assistant shall be employed<br />
for forty (40) hours at the supplemental hourly rate<br />
of pay during the two (2) weeks prior to the opening<br />
of school to assist the senior director, instrumental<br />
music.<br />
905.03 Teachers with the following extra duty responsibilities<br />
shall not have more than six (6) daily assignments in<br />
addition to a registration period assignment:<br />
Senior Head Coach, Boys’ Football<br />
Senior Head Coach, Basketball<br />
Senior Head Coach, Boys’ Baseball<br />
Senior Head Coach, Track and Field<br />
Senior Head Coach, Boys’ Wrestling<br />
Senior Head Coach, Girls’ Volleyball<br />
Senior Head Coach, Girls’ Softball<br />
Middle School and Senior Audio Visual Advisor<br />
Senior Instrumental Music Director<br />
Senior Yearbook Advisor*<br />
Senior Newspaper Advisor*<br />
Middle School Yearbook Advisor<br />
Middle School Newspaper Advisor<br />
*English teachers with these responsibilities shall<br />
have no more than five (5) daily assignments total.<br />
*A teacher with both responsibilities (yearbook<br />
and newspaper) shall have no more than four (4) daily<br />
assignmentstotal.<br />
During the off season(s), the principal can assign<br />
the coach to other duties in the building during the<br />
coach’s extra conference period. Such assignments shall<br />
not be arbitrary, capricious or vindictive.<br />
