C. Irregular attendance<br />
Elementary and middle school teachers may utilize conferences<br />
occurring on the parent conference day provided<br />
in Section 210.01 in place of required interim reports<br />
during such grading periods.<br />
210.04 Theform(s), procedures, and timelines used for<br />
interim progress reports to parents shall be primarily the<br />
same ones used during the 1991-92 school year unless<br />
modified bymutualagreement of the parties. Minor<br />
adjustments to the software that produce non-substantive<br />
changes are not considered modifications.<br />
210.05 Pursuant to implementation ofauniformelementary<br />
grade card format, the District will phase in implementation<br />
of a secure electronic advanced technology<br />
for teacher access to enter school and elementary student<br />
information between the <strong>2005</strong>-06 and 2007-08 school<br />
years.<br />
210.06 Principles for elementary grade card computer entry<br />
A. The computer system should be accessible at all times<br />
except for routine maintenance and/or scheduled<br />
outages.<br />
B. Teachers should be able to access the system for personal<br />
convenience via their personal computers<br />
through a net browser. The District shall strive to<br />
achieve these goals through education, technology<br />
and other means. If the elementary grade card system<br />
is generally unavailable for eight (8) or more consecutive<br />
hours between the hours of 6 a.m. and midnight<br />
or three and one-half (3½) or more consecutive hours<br />
during the elementary work day due to system failure<br />
during the work week after the end of the grading<br />
period, teachers will have an extra work day for the<br />
deadline to complete report cards. The District is not<br />
responsible for teachers’ personal computers or their<br />
operation.<br />

Assignments and Transfers<br />
211.01 Posting and Filling Vacancies<br />
A. All known teacher vacancies for the following school<br />
year shall be posted by the first teacher workday in<br />
April. Vacancies to be identified shall be those vacancies<br />
after reorganization of the existing staff based on<br />
the anticipated needs of the following year. Such<br />
postings shall describe the vacant position, including<br />
special factors. Examples of such factors are: special<br />
knowledge, skills or training and extra duties. The<br />
posting shall include the deadline and directions for<br />
making application. They shall be posted in each<br />
school during the school year, and in each high school<br />
summer school center during the summer recess.<br />
