desire to be considered for reemployment in CCS<br />

shall complete a new employment application and<br />

provide the required employment application materialsspecified<br />

by the Human Resources Department.<br />

2. Teaching Experience & Salary Schedule Placement<br />

Teachers who are selected for reemployment may be<br />

granted up to 10 years of outside teaching experience<br />

credit for placement on the teacher salary schedule.<br />

Former CCS teachers may be granted full credit for<br />

CCS teaching experience for placement on the teachers’<br />

salary schedule. In no eventwillaretiredCCS<br />

employee be re-employed and placed on the salary<br />

schedule beyond the year 14 step in the salary schedule.<br />

3. Health Insurance<br />

Teachers may purchase CCS health insurance coverage<br />

provided they authorize payroll deductions for<br />

health insurance premiums consistent with <strong>Board</strong><br />

policy and practices.<br />

4. Sick Leave<br />

No sick leave carryover from previous employment<br />

shall be permitted.<br />

5. Severance Pay<br />

No severance pay eligibility exists for rehired retirees.<br />

6. Individual <strong>Employment</strong> Contract<br />

Retirees who are rehired shall be granted a limited<br />

teaching contract. Retirees shall not be eligible for<br />

continuing employment contractsafterretirement.<br />

7. Severance Benefits<br />

810.02 Effective November 30, 2001, the cash payment<br />

to an eligible member or beneficiary receiving<br />

severance pay shall be determined by and shall<br />

include the following:<br />

A. Fifty (50) percent of the member’s accrued but<br />

unused personal leave days.<br />

B. The following percentage of the member’s accrued<br />

but unused sick leave if the member gives the<br />

HumanResources Department written notice of<br />

intent to retire by March 1,whentheeffective date<br />

of retirement is from May 31 to October 31 inclusive,<br />

or if the member gives the Human Resources<br />

Department written notice after September 1 and<br />

ninety (90) days before the effective date of retirement,<br />

when the effective date of retirement is<br />

between November 1 andMay31.<br />
