in an emergency situation. Such emergency assignment<br />

shall not continue beyond the remainder of the contract<br />

year.<br />

E. Involuntary transfers resulting from the evaluation<br />

process will be made in compliance with Section<br />

211.02 above.<br />

F. Any position filled by a procedure other than the<br />

interview/selection process shall be posted as a vacancy<br />

on the first teacher workday following April 1.<br />

G. A six-member joint Association/<strong>Board</strong> committee<br />

shall be appointed to oversee implementation of<br />

Article 211. The joint committee may consider delaying<br />

the interview/selection process for teachers in multiple<br />

buildings or in city-wide positions, in whole or in<br />

part, until 1999.<br />

211.06 Inter-School Travel<br />

In arranging schedules for teachers who are assigned to<br />

more than one school, every effort shall be made to limit<br />

the amount of inter-school travel.<br />

Article 212<br />

Residence<br />

During the term of this <strong>Agreement</strong>, the <strong>Board</strong> will not adopt<br />

apolicyrequiring teachers who are members of the bargainingunitatthe<br />

time of ratification of this <strong>Agreement</strong> to reside<br />

within the Columbus City School District.<br />

Article 213<br />

Job Sharing<br />

213.01 Teachers may be granted job sharing opportunities<br />

annually subject to approval of the building principal,<br />

Superintendent/designee and the <strong>Board</strong>. The salary and<br />

<strong>Board</strong> cost for insurance fringe benefits (Articles 806,<br />

807, 808 and 809) will be prorated for job sharers based<br />

on their share of 1.0 FTE, effective with the 2010–11<br />

school year.<br />

213.02 Ajointcommittee of two (2) persons appointed by<br />

the President of the Association and two (2) persons<br />

appointed by the Superintendent will review and modify,<br />

if appropriate, the existing guidelines for a Memorandum<br />

of <strong>Agreement</strong>, which shall be implemented when signed<br />

by thePresident of the Association and the<br />

Superintendent.<br />

213.03 Job share agreements approved in writing by the<br />

teacher(s), principal(s) and Superintendent/designee shall<br />

be recommended to the <strong>Board</strong> of Education for consideration.<br />

Approved job share agreements can be altered by<br />

mutual written agreement of the parties (job share teachers,<br />

principal(s) and Superintendent/ designee). <br />
