B. Teachers desiring to be considered for such vacancies<br />
shall apply by the timely submitting of a cover letter,<br />
copy of current certification for the position, and<br />
resume. Such application(s) shall be made to the<br />
appropriate administrator describing relevant information<br />
about their qualifications for the known<br />
vacancy for which they wish to interview. Applicants<br />
who are not yet certified/licensed in Ohio shall provide<br />
written information about their intended certification.<br />
C. Teachers whose applications are to be submitted to<br />
theHuman Resources Department, will be notified<br />
by theHuman Resources Department, of the receipt<br />
of their applications.<br />
D. Vacancies will be filled utilizing the interview/<br />
selection process. The interview/selection panel in a<br />
building will consist of the principal, the Senior<br />
Faculty Representative, one elected member of the<br />
Association Building Council, and two parents/<br />
members of the school community, or an alternative<br />
panel as agreed at the building between the principal<br />
and Association. The administrator shall determine<br />
which applicant is selected for the position. If his or<br />
her selection does not follow the panel’s recommendation,<br />
the administrator shall send written notice of<br />
the selection to members oftheinterviewpanel and<br />
to the Association President. The interview/selection<br />
panel can utilize subcommittees or delegate any of its<br />
responsibilities.<br />
1. Only persons who have completed the joint program<br />
training on Article 211 and interviewing may<br />
participate on an interview/selection panel. Such<br />
training shall remain valid until the parties jointly<br />
make significant changes in the Article 211<br />
process.<br />
2. A majority of the interview/selection panel of a<br />
building must participate in the interview/selection<br />
process. Membersofthepanel must make<br />
themselves reasonably available to participate in<br />
the process.<br />
3. The two most senior applicants qualified by certification/licensure<br />
for the posted position shall be<br />
interviewed. Thepanelmayrelyontheseniority<br />
dates specified on the applications from applicants.<br />
E. In the caseofassignments to multiple buildings<br />
and/or city-wide programs, a similarly constituted<br />
interview/selection panel shall be created. A position<br />
involving multiple buildingassignments shall not be<br />
treated as a vacancy because of a change in building<br />
