clearly establishes the right of the <strong>Board</strong> to declare<br />
such contracts null and void in the event the school<br />
where the service was to be provided is closed. In the<br />
eventaschool is closed, all such contracts for service<br />
at the closed school shall be declared null and void,<br />
but the Step will not change if the teacher is reemployed<br />
in the same supplemental position but at a<br />
different school within the District within two years.<br />
D. Supplemental contracts shall not beawardeduntil<br />
thereissufficient evidence available to the Administration<br />
of adequate participation. Thisprovision<br />
specifically applies to situations where the supplemental<br />
contract was not issued the previous year or<br />
where participation the previous year was not adequate.<br />
E. 1. Teachers who have completed three (3) or more<br />
consecutive years of service in a school in the extraduty<br />
position of senior head coach, football, basketball,<br />
baseball, track, volleyball, softball, or wrestling<br />
shall be eligible for a three (3) year supplemental<br />
contract upon the expiration of their contract. Such<br />
three(3) year supplemental contracts shall be offered<br />
to such eligible teachers by June 15. No teacher shall<br />
be eligible for such three (3) year supplemental contract<br />
for more than one (1) such coaching position.<br />
2. Teachers who are eligible for such three (3) year<br />
supplemental contracts shall be offered written reasons<br />
for a decision leading to a recommendation not<br />
to initially issue or not to renew such a supplemental<br />
contract. Any failure to observe this provision in<br />
regard to the offering of written statements relative to<br />
the non-issuanceornon-renewalof such a three (3)<br />
year supplemental contract shall be subject to the<br />
grievance procedure set forth in this <strong>Agreement</strong>.<br />
F. The parties agree to maintain the past practices<br />
regarding the discontinuation of supplemental contracts<br />
and prorating of pay when there are insufficient<br />
participants for the activity to either begin or<br />
continue. Thispracticehasbeenthe most common<br />
with freshman andreserve coaching positions and<br />
least common with head coaching positions.<br />
402.03 All teacher contracts, provided in Sections 402.01<br />
and 402.02 of this article, shall have language mutually<br />
agreed to by the Association and the <strong>Board</strong>.<br />

403.01 When a complaint is made bytheparentofastudent<br />
or any other member of the public concerning a<br />
teacher’s conduct, service, character or personality,<br />
which is deemed serious enough to become a matter of<br />
