the agreement between the Columbus Education Association<br />
and the <strong>Board</strong> of Education to read as follows:<br />
D(6) Should be corrected to read:<br />
(6) Workers’ Compensation cannot be received simultaneously<br />
with assault or sick leave benefits.<br />
D(8) should be added and read:<br />
(8) In particularly severe or unusual cases, a reasonable<br />
extension of assault leave benefits may be agreed to<br />
between the parties on a non-precedent setting basis.<br />

Memorandum of <strong>Agreement</strong><br />
Make Up of Excessive Calamity Days<br />
Theparties identified below agree that if it becomes necessary<br />
to make up calamity days beyond those provided under<br />
statute, such “make up” days will be added to the end of the<br />
current school calendar in June for school year schools, and<br />
to the end of the last quarter for year-round schools.<br />

(Substance-Free Workplace Program)<br />
(August 2007)<br />
Whereas, the parties of this agreement aknowledge a shared<br />
concern that all staff of Columbus City Schools be free of<br />
illegal substances, or illegal levels of legal substances, while<br />
in the performance of theirrespective duties; and<br />
Whereas, the parties acknowledge the value and investment<br />
in current staff and the desire to first attempt to rehabilitate<br />
afflicted staff; and<br />
Whereas, the parties willingly and joinly united to draft a<br />
uniform program for all employees of the school destrict,<br />
exclusive of those covered under federal guidelines;<br />
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the parties have<br />
agreed to implement the Columbus Public School’s<br />
Substance-Free (Drug-Free) Workplace Program as adopted<br />
by the <strong>Board</strong> of Education on August 28, 2007.<br />
