Moshe wrote an autobiography "MyLife in those Days", published by “Maarechet” in 1994.Lavi Yirmiyahu 'Yirmi'Lőbl GyörgyBorn in Miskolc on 10.7.1926Member of “Bnei Akiva”Yirmi was an underground activist and carried forged documents. Heserved as the liaison person between the center of the movement, whichwas located in the “Glass House” on 29, Vadász Street, and comrades allover the city. Yirmi distributed forged documents, food and money to theneedy refugees. He saved Jews, who were to be deported toextermination camps, from the train wagons. Yirmi was caught threetimes but managed to escape and resume his activities. In January 1945,the day the Red Army attacked the city, he was staying in one of thesuburbs. He cooperated with communist anti-Nazi activists and attackeda German machine-gun position. He was wounded in the leg by a bulletand hospitalized in a Russian military hospital. In 1947 Yirmi made aliya.He was a major in the IDF. He was amember of "Hehalutz". In 1942 he moved to Budapest where he earnedhis living in a print shop. In 1943 he was drafted into a forced labor unit,from which he managed to escape in 1944. Moshe joined his "DrorHabonim" comrades in the underground and hid in a bunker on HungariaBoulevard. He was one of the editors of the Zionist Movementunderground newspaper. The bunker was discovered and all itsinhabitants were taken to the central military prison on Margit Boulevard,where they were tortured.
