In 1943 they were caught by theHungarian police, imprisoned until 1944 and then under policesupervision in Miskolc. Sarah was her husband’s partner in hisunderground activities. She returned to Slovakia and was liberated in1945. Sarah returned to Hungary and integrated the movement’sactivities mainly rescuing Jewish youngsters and helping them makealiya.
