He met Asher Arni andjoined the “Dror Habonim” movement. After the Germans invadedHungary on 19.3.1944, he dug fortifications in the suburbs of Budapest.In the fall of 1944 Asher Arni enlisted him in the underground activities ofthe movement. Dov supplied food and equipment to hiding places andbunkers. After the liberation he took part in finding and taking care oforphaned Jewish children. In 1946 Dov left Hungary and stayed in theCyprus and Atlit (Palestine) camps. At the end of 1947 he arrived inKibbutz Ein Harod within the framework of the “Gárdos” Group. He wasamong the founders of Kibbutz Parod.
