Dr. Eichler HavaFischer EditBorn in Budapest in 1923Died on 19.6.2008 in IsraelMember of “Hanoar Hatzioni”Hava joined the movement at the age of fifteen. During the years 1942and 1943 refugees from Slovakia and Poland stayed at her parents’home. After the German invasion of Hungary on 19.3.1944, she stayedwith her family at a Yellow Star House and kept in touch with themembers of the movement.She joined the underground and distributed forged documents tocomrades in the country towns and in the tiyul. After Szálasi came topower on 15.10.1944, Hava stayed at the “Glass House” on VadászStreet and continued to take part in the underground activities.She made aliya illegally in 1946 on the “Biriya” vessel. Hava is a historyteacher with a doctorate degree. She did research on the activities of theZionist Youth Movements in Hungary.
