He served as the liaison officer of the forged documentslaboratory located on Rózsa Street and later on Baross Street. InDecember Baruh was caught because the man he ordered forged sealsfrom informed on him. He was arrested and tortured but did not breakdown and did not give away any information. Baruh was transferred todifferent prisons but managed to escape. He reached one of theProtected Houses under the auspices of the Swiss legation and met othermembers of his movement.Baruh was liberated on 18.1.1945. On 20.3.1944 Elisheva was invited by Samu Stern,who was the leader of the Jewish community in Budapest, to join hisstaff. She worked as the liaison officer between the leaders of the variouscommunities and the Zionist youth movements working in the<strong>Brothers</strong> for <strong>Resistance</strong> and <strong>Rescue</strong> 79
