Together with some comrades hedid agricultural work in a village until they were forced to run away asthey were suspected of being Jews. Baruh returned to Budapest and tookcare of his paralyzed mother. His father was enlisted in a forced laborunit.In the summer of 1944 Baruh started working for the underground. Hemaintained contact with comrades who were serving in various forcedlabor camps all over Hungary, brought them money and documents sothat they could escape.After the liberation he joined his father who had emigrated to France. Inthe mid 50’s Baruh returned to Hungary.
