Both bunkers were discovered, and all their occupants weretaken to the central military prison in Budapest, where they wereinterrogated. They were released in a daring operation carried out by theunder -ground. Shulamit made aliya, lived on a kibbutz and raised herfamily. She and her husband reside in Netaniya framework of the tiyuland from there Moshe made it to Eretz Israel (Palestine). He joinedKibbutz Ein Dor which, later on, he left. In Israel Moshe worked inconstruction as a maintenance and storage worker. She took part in the undergroundoperations. With help from the movement she succeeded in crossing theborder into Romania. In November 1944 Miriam made aliya and joined anAliyat Hanoar group in Kfar Rupin.Steiner Tzvi ‘Bébi’Steiner HermannBorn in 1922Died on 29.7.2005 in IsraelMember of “Hashomer Hatzair”Tzvi grew up in a traditional Jewish family in Érsekújvár (Nové Zámky) inCzechoslovakia. He joined the “Hashomer Hatzair” movement at an earlyage. In 1942 Tzvi was enlisted in a forced labor unit and sent to Ukraine.Because he fell sick with typhus, he was sent back to Gyør in Hungary. Inthe fall of 1944 an emissary of the Zionist underground arrived in Gyørwith a bag full of forged documents for members of “Hashomer Hatzair”,“Dror” and “Maccabi Hatzair” who were serving in the camp.
