The bunker, whose entrance was through adeep hole, was discovered and the rope down the hole was severed.Simha and another three comrades were trapped in the bunker for onemonth. Eventually he managed to get out and hid in a forest. He returnedto Budapest and was caught by the fascists. Simha was taken to theGestapo headquarters in the Majestic Hotel, tortured and moved to aprison. He was liberated thanks to a Swiss Protection Document. Simhastayed at the “Glass House” on 29, Vadász Street. After the liberation hecollected Jewish children and sent them to Eretz Israel (Palestine).Simha made aliya in 1949. He is a member of Kibbutz Shomrat.Porat DovFried BélaBorn in Párkány (Štúrovo) in 1921Died in 2003 in IsraelMember of “Maccabi Hatzair”In 1942, according to the movement’s decision, Dov moved from Slovakiato Budapest. His and his friends’ mission was to obtain forgeddocuments, find hiding places and obtain food coupons and money forthe members of the movement. He was active in smuggling comradesfrom the movement from Slovakia into Hungary and absorbing them. Dovwas caught on one of the bridges across the Danube but managed toescape. He was imprisoned together with Joseph Scheffer and Tzvi Amadin the Garany detention camp.Dov made aliya in 1948.
