Her family gaveassistance to the first refugees from Poland. After the Germans invadedHungary on 19.3.1944, Katalin was taken to Tattersaal (Todt Lager). InDinnyés Borgonpuszta, rescued by members of her movement andarrived at the “Glass House” on Vadász Street. Under the name ofHorváth Katalin, Katalin distributed forged documents around the city.After the liberation she intended to make aliya and arrived in Romaniabut, due to an illness, she was forced to return to Budapest.
