Construction:<br />
1. ASME Code (Current Edition, Current Addenda), all sections.<br />
2. Code cases must be approved before use.<br />
3. ASME B31.1.<br />
4. Manufacturers must file a copy <strong>of</strong> Manufacturer’s Data Report on ASME forms with the <strong>National</strong> <strong>Board</strong>.<br />
5. <strong>National</strong> <strong>Board</strong> Inspection Code (Current Edition, Current Addenda).<br />
6. <strong>National</strong> <strong>Board</strong> registration required for boilers <strong>and</strong> pressure vessels.<br />
7. Special design or construction requires approval before fabrication is started.<br />
Stamping:<br />
Where appropriate, the following <strong>National</strong> <strong>Board</strong> stamps or ASME Code symbol stamps are required:<br />
1. <strong>National</strong> <strong>Board</strong>: R, VR.<br />
2. ASME Code: all.<br />
North Carolina identification number required upon first inspection.<br />
Repairs <strong>and</strong> Alterations:<br />

pressure retaining equipment operated in North Carolina.<br />

This Article shall apply to all boilers <strong>and</strong> pressure vessels constructed, used, or designed for operation in this State including all<br />
new <strong>and</strong> existing installations except the following.<br />
