rUleS FOr COnStrUCtIOn anD StampInG<br />
Construction:<br />
1. ASME Code, Sections I, III, IV, VIII (Divisions 1, 2), X, <strong>and</strong> code cases with <strong>National</strong> <strong>Board</strong> stamping.<br />
2. Code addenda <strong>and</strong> case interpretations accepted automatically. IAW Date <strong>of</strong> Manufacture.<br />
3. ASME CSD-1 (2002 Edition).<br />
4. ASME PVHO-1 (IAW Date <strong>of</strong> Manufacture).<br />
5. ASME B31.1 (IAW Date <strong>of</strong> Manufacture).<br />
6. Installers must file a copy <strong>of</strong> the Manufacturer’s Data Report with the department before an installation<br />
is approved.<br />
7. <strong>National</strong> <strong>Board</strong> Inspection Code (most current together with the addenda).<br />
8. <strong>National</strong> <strong>Board</strong> registration required.<br />
9. NFPA-85 when over 12,500,000 BTU/hr input.<br />
10. Special design or construction requires approval <strong>of</strong> director.<br />
Stamping:<br />
Where appropriate, the following <strong>National</strong> <strong>Board</strong> stamps or ASME Code symbol stamps are required:<br />

All boilers <strong>and</strong> unfired pressure vessels, except:<br />
1. Any boiler or pressure vessel subject to regular federal inspection or licensed by federal authorities.<br />
2. Potable hot-water heaters (fired, electric, thermal, solar, <strong>and</strong> indirect) <strong>and</strong> pool heaters, in other than Group A, E, <strong>and</strong> I<br />
occupancies, provided none <strong>of</strong> the following limitations is exceeded:<br />
a. Heat input <strong>of</strong> 200,000 BTU per hour; or<br />
b. Water temperature <strong>of</strong> 210°F; or<br />
