3. Pressure vessels:<br />
a. One triennial certificate inspection, which shall be an external inspection;<br />
b. An internal inspection at the discretion <strong>of</strong> the inspector, where construction permits.<br />
All first-time inspections are performed by the division.<br />
InSUranCe InSpeCtIOn reQUIrementS<br />
1. Inspections made by inspectors employed by insurance companies <strong>and</strong> commissioned by the division are accepted in<br />
lieu <strong>of</strong> inspections made by a division inspector with respect to boilers <strong>and</strong> pressure vessels insured by their respective<br />
companies.<br />
2. Inspections made by inspectors employed by owners/users <strong>and</strong> commissioned by the division are accepted in lieu <strong>of</strong><br />
inspections made by a division inspector with respect to boilers <strong>and</strong> pressure vessels self-insured by the owner/user<br />
there<strong>of</strong>.<br />
3. Reports <strong>of</strong> certificate inspections on insured boilers <strong>and</strong> pressure vessels must be filed with the division on forms provided<br />
by the division within 10 business days after the inspection.<br />
4. Noncertificate reports <strong>of</strong> external inspections are not required to be filed unless there are code violations or dangerous<br />
conditions.<br />
5. <strong>The</strong> chief inspector must be notified within 30 days <strong>of</strong> suspension <strong>of</strong> insurance because <strong>of</strong> dangerous conditions or new business<br />
or discontinuance <strong>of</strong> insurance.<br />
CertIFICate OF InSpeCtIOn<br />
Certificate <strong>of</strong> Inspection, valid for 12 months for power boilers, 24 months for low-pressure heating boilers, <strong>and</strong> 36 months for<br />
pressure vessels, is issued by the division for insured boilers <strong>and</strong> pressure vessels upon payment to the division <strong>of</strong> a $70.00 fee<br />
for each boiler or pressure vessel. A grace period <strong>of</strong> two months is allowed.<br />
State FeeS<br />
As authorized by the <strong>Boiler</strong> <strong>and</strong> Pressure Vessel Safety Act, the board hereby establishes the following fees to be collected for services<br />
rendered:<br />
